The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Founded in 1833, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide organization dedicated to serving neighbors in need. The National Council of the United States, Society of St. Vincent de Paul was established to organize and represent local St. Vincent de Paul Conferences and Councils among the global Society’s membership. Today, with nearly 100,000 members, the National Council provides resources, training, and spiritual development for Vincentians throughout 4,428 local Conferences and 500 Councils. The St. Joseph Parish council has been active for over 50 years. The financial resources for the conference are provided by generous donations from our parishioners to help their neighbors.
